A few years ago, while managing a fashion magazine, I had the honor of meeting and collaborating with several artists in the fashion field. I crossed paths with the renowned Argentine photographer Chino Zavalia—bohemian, volatile, brilliant. During shoots, he used to walk around with his dog Chango, a Komondor as peculiar as his owner. Chango looked more like a mop than a dog, his thick white dreadlocks barely concealing his 60 kilos.
Once, when I saw Chango, I couldn’t help but to ask Chino, “Don’t you think you should give him a bath?”
To which he replied, “No, he is a Rapper Dog.”
On my canvas, only Rapper Dog exists.
